Christian’s project Detached explores estrangement in adulthood, inspired by his fading relationship with his mother after his parents’ divorce. What began as phone calls and missed reunions became lasting distance. In his photobook, Christian reflects on family bonds, absence, and the hope of reconnection—especially as he prepares to become a father himself. Detached was selected as a finalist in the renowned Blurring the Lines competition.
