Michael heads the international program for Photography & New Media at UE Berlin. His artistic documentary work reflects on the social world—most recently Migration as Avant-Garde. His projects take the form of photobooks and video, exhibited at museums such as C/O Berlin. In his seminars, Michael shares his passion for photography and draws on a broad network of universities, curators, artists, and industry partners to enrich teaching with guest lectures, collaborations, excursions, and gallery visits.

Nina takes an interdisciplinary approach to photography, having studied Media Arts and Design and earned a Ph.D. in Artistic Research. Her research focuses on performative strategies in contemporary photography. Nina‘s expertise includes Fine Art & Staged Photography, Artistic Image Strategies, and Exhibition Strategies.

Andrej is a photographer, artist, and educator specializing in fine art photography and visual storytelling. At UE, he leads the MA Photography program. His oeuvre spans photography, drawing, collage, and poetry, exploring cultural and spiritual archetypes, shamanism, and a magical approach to life.

Eric is a photographer and manages our Arsenal equipment rental with his team, serving as Studio Manager. He is the heart and soul of the BA Photography & New Media program, opening doors not only to our facilities but also offering guidance and support to our students every step of the way.

Martin Eberle
Photographer
Martin is a Berlin-based photographer and lecturer. He works both on applied assignments and in conceptual fine art, with his work widely exhibited and published in photobooks. He brings his applied expertise, technical skills, and broad artistic knowledge into his teaching. Martin is also co-editor at Drittel Books and holds a Master’s degree in Architecture and Urban Research.

Anne Braun
Visual Artist, Cinematographer and Photographer
Anne Braun is a visual artist and lecturer at UE Berlin working across film and photography. With her diverse practical experience in the field of visual media, she approaches cinematography as a fluid, transformable and spatially extended practice. Her teaching follows a hands-on approach that combines visual storytelling, filmic methods, and professional workflows. Through practical exercises and collaborative feedback, students develop confidence, technical skills, and creative responsibility.

Sarah Staiger is a Berlin-based photographer working across editorial and commercial fields. She studied Photography Design in Munich and further developed her practice internationally before establishing her career in Berlin. Her work explores visual storytelling at the intersection of fashion, identity, and contemporary culture. Alongside her photographic practice, she engages in teaching and mentoring emerging creatives. She teaches Professional Practice in the BA Photography & New Media programme at the University of Europe for Applied Sciences, supporting students in developing sustainable creative careers and navigating the industry.

Camila teaches the interdisciplinary photography course for all programs at the Art & Design Faculty. She works both commercially and artistically as a photographer and videographer, with projects ranging from bustling city streets to remote indigenous communities. Her goal is always to document, connect, and amplify voices that need to be heard. Originally from Colombia, she now calls Berlin home.
