Bond, explore and be inspired at Europe’s leading photography festival 

The annual excursion to Rencontres d’Arles, Europe’s largest photography festival in southern France, is a long-standing tradition and a key highlight of the BA Photography & New Media program at UE Berlin.

During opening week, students engage in direct encounters with artists, curators and industry professionals across exhibitions in unique locations—from historic churches to the contemporary Luma Arles tower. The festival’s intimate, walkable setting and Mediterranean evenings encourage peer exchange, while faculty networks help transform these experiences into future career opportunities.
